Since this blog have being shown quite frequently by “PrintNet T”, “GMC” as searching word. So I’d like to introduce some useful tips for Integration work of GMC PrintNet T Designer and DirectSmile Integration Server.

How to add a parameter in the request stream image URL
—画像リクエスト・ストリームURLに対するパラメータ追加方法—

It is possible to add any additional parameters to the request URL by using “Data Transformer”. This way you can specify the pixel width, or a watermark, etc…

Data Transformerモジュールを使用すれば、どんなパラメータでも画像リクエストURLに対して追加する事が可能です。（例：画像のピクセル幅を指定、ウォーターマークを追加、透過PNG画像の取得など）
Use “Stack FCVs” for the Field Converter
—”Stack FCVs”をフィールドコンバーターに対して使用—

The first step is to select “Stack FCVs” instead of “DirectSmile” in the Field Converter menu. If you select “Stack FCVs”, then you can set a chain of multiple data transformations for one column. Now, click on the 3-dots icon next to the Field Converter selection menu.

始めに、”Stack FCVｓ”をフィールド・コンバーターメニューから選択します。Stack FCVsを適用する事で、データベースの1項目に対して、複数のデータ・トランスフォーメーション・チェーンを設定する事が可能になります。
次にフィールド・コンバーターの隣にある参照ボタンをクリックします。

Click “Add a converter” icon!
—”Add a converter”アイコンをクリック—

We need to select “DirectSmile” as the first transformation. After you have done so, you can select which DSM-set you would like to use as we mentioned in GMC & DSMI guide manual.

先ずは”DirectSmile”を最初のトランスフォーメーションとして選択します。次にどのDSM-Setを使用するのかを定義します。(詳細な方法はGMC & DSMIガイドを御覧ください)

Click on the “Add a converter” icon again, and select “String manipulation” as the second transformation.

再度”Add a converter”をクリックします。そして、”String manipulation”を2番目のトランスフォーメーションとして選択・追加します。

Once you have created the 2nd transformer, you can click on the 3-dots icon. Select “Concatenation” in the field “Type”, and by doing so be able to add any parameter in the “Suffix” field.
These values are automatically added to the request URL later. In this example, we added a pixel width specification and placed a watermark on the personalized image.
Now click “OK”, and close the data transformer module.

2番目のトランスフォーメーションを作成すると、参照ボタンをクリック出来るようになります。参照ボタンをクリックし、String manipulationウィンドウが開いたら、”Concatenation”をフィールドタイプとして選択します。これでPreFixフィールド、SurFixフィールドに対して値を入力出来ます。
これらの値は自動的に画像リクエストURLに対して追加されます。このサンプルでは画像のピクセル幅の指定とウォーターマークの追加をしました。
”OK”ボタンをクリックし、Data Transformerモジュールを閉じます。

As you can see above, this personalized image has a watermark. Let’s see the URL that was sent to DSMI.

上記のスクリーンショットに見えるように、パーソナライズド・イメージにウォーターマークが追加されました。
次にこの画像が生成された画像リクエストURLを見てみます。

The sub-menu “Data”, located in the “Proof” menu (F6), contains the requested URL into which the additional parameter has been written. You can also separately find the additional parameter in the requested URL as well.
So you are free to add any parameter! 🙂

Proofメニュー(F6)内のサブメニュー”Data”を開くと、実際にリクエストされたURLを確認出来ます。実際の画像リクエストURLに対して、ピクセル幅指定のパラメータと、ウォーターマーク追加用のパラメータが追記されていることがわかります。
この方法でどんなパラメータでも追加可能です。 🙂
